Horrible - Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
The manager/owner of the shop does not like items to be paid by debit card; my personnel experience is as follows.
I entered the shop with my 2-year-old daughter to purchase a child’s magazine and a drink. I approached counter with my daughter to pay for items to find his response was we do NOT accept card. My response was really? His response was no not for this pitiful amount nobody pays for such silly amounts on cards it costs me too much to process (around 11p), so my response after such a rude comment was I’m sorry I guess it’s your loss then?
Which he then proceeded to scream hysterically, shouting swear words with a shop full of customers and in front of my two year old daughter scaring her and making her upset. Which in my opinion is a disgusting way to act in front of an infant in general, and equally operant as a business owner to their potential customer.
It did not stop their as I left the shop the abuse continued into the street by him shouting obscenities from inside the shop to myself outside all while my daughter was crying.
My advice to anybody shopping in Harrogate – North Yorkshire – United Kingdom – the world, never visits this shop, as it was a nasty experience over such a stupid thing.
