Great Comic Book Store - Mega City Comics has what you need if you are looking for superheroes. This relatively small shop is crammed with shrink-wrapped comic books lining the walls and bursting out of boxes. They have a wide range, from the usual superhero Marvel and DC books to more literary or artistic graphic novels as well as a small selection of graphic design and art books.
I have to presume that the comics industry is not in the same shape it used to be, so a lot of the stuff you find is trying to squeeze value out of every purchase - lots of bound collections and hard cover editions of whole story lines, both old and new retailing for about 12-15 pounds. Ouch. There are some bargains to be had, however, especially in the themed grab bags (50 #1 issues, 25 Justice League of America issues) for between 5 and 10 pounds gives you more bang for the buck.
This place is pretty focused on the comics, which is good if you are a fan. They don't give much shelf space to merchandise like action figures, although there are some t-shirts and posters on offer.
