Awfully rude owner! Sarcastic, treats your jewellery like garbage - throws it all together so your chains get tangled and rings clash. They offer the lowest, almost insulting, cash for second hand jewellery as 'scrap' prices but resells them in her window for sky high - very dishonest and sneaky. Avoid like the plague!

Great value for money - I bought a top quality necklace from assets and recieved excellent costemor service.
The girl who served me was very helpful, served with a smile and was rather pretty.
The necklace I aquired was stunning and at a very reasonable price. I'm happy with every experience I receieved and will most certainly be shopping at assets jewllers again.
I'd recomend it to anyone who's looking for high quality for a good price.

Awful con merchant! - Do not trust this Jewellers. They are out to deceive and rob you of your money. They misold me a ring, telling me it was a great deal for £25 but they charged me £35 on my card and purposely distracted me while I typed my pin in then when I realised what had happened I returned to the shop, saying there had been some mistake. I said, 'you told me the ring was £25, the woman said, yes, that's right, she looked a bit embarrassed, I said well you charged me £35' and I showed her the receipt. Then the manager came over and tried to make out that these things happen, rings get put back in the wrong place. They offered to exchange it but I wanted the £10 difference because it had been misold to me. The owner was too tight to give me the £10 or refund it. Most reputable jewellers in Newport will refund items, and it was just 5 minutes after buying it! Things got heated and I have never experienced such bad customer service in all my life. The shouting only got worse as did the sarcy remarks, ‘Well I don’t know about you but who doesn’t check the amount before they type their pin, I certainly do’. Well to be honest, I didn’t expect to be lied to or think you might be trying to deceive me. Maybe on a market stall but not in a local jewellers.
Next time I certainly will double check the amount before paying for something. I have learnt my lesson. Not everyone is honest in this world and luckily it was £35 wasted not £135 but it does make me think they are probably pulling this same scam on many customers paying by card and they obviously cannot be doing that well to resort to this.
I wanted to get rid of the ring so took it to cash for gold and got £12 for it. It was definitely not worth £35 but I didn't want to be reminded of this horrible experience and wanted to get rid of it asap. I will never shop in Assets again, they are nothing but low life con merchants.
