GYM - I joined this gym aprox 10 weeks ago. Costs £40.00 each month plus £40.00 joining fee. This is steep considering the gym is sub standard. The decor is very dated and more importantly dirty!! The floors have fluff balls, the railings and machines are grubby, there is NO air con system in the cardiovascular suite so very uncomfortable. Almost all of the radio's on the machines do not work, only four TV screens. ONE tap available of which the water is luke warm.
The toilets (of which there are only two), are in the changing area are often blocked as they have a faulty flush. The drinks machine in main reception has NEVER worked and there are often very long queues to gain entry into the leisure centre with only one incompetent person serving the desk oh dear!! I have complained on two occassions and was told by their manager that "it's not my fault, I've rang a plumber" (re. out of use toilet),& on the grubby gym itself was told he'd get someone to wash the floor. As for broken drinks machine, & broked radios on equipment his response was that engineers have visited but haven't repaired. ??? Get someone in who will then!! My advice is don't sign up to this sub standard gym less you've dosed up on anti-biotics and dipped yourself in dettol and have a colostomy bag to empty your bladder in, oh and make sure you don't perspire- no air con & bring your own drink.
