the not so royal ascot hotel - well where do we start.....
we stayed at the Ascot Hotel on 26/08/09.
we walked into room 200 and thought, basic, but it will do for the night.
To our shock, horror and dismay, we found feaces in the toilet!!!!
yeap you read that right.
Someone had been in the room before us had left us a present.
This is the excuse they gave " people come in off the street to view our hotel and rooms. we take them to view a room, we leave them 2 check the room out and when they hav finished they leave" !!!!
if you belive that!!!! no manager came to our room to offer his apoligies or compensation.
how nice and this is just the start.
The room and hotel had not been cleaned correctly.
There was inadequate tea/coffee making faciltys.
The lift was next to where we stayed n shook the room as it passed our floor.
Several of the fire escapes were blocked by towles n toilet rolls.
The air con in our room didnt work.
The contintal breakfast was poorly set out, with no one botherin to check if we actualy stayed the previous night.
many parts of the electrical wiring where not covered and exposed which where held back by gaffer tape.
if u want a good, clean, friendly hotel, DONT STAY HERE 28-08-09
