Above average sort of parlour - So, I went down to Kiran's today and the first thing I noticed was that it was comparitively more "flashy" looking than the dozens of parlours nearby. I asked for my eyebrow to be threaded and a layered hair cut. The general hygiene and look of the parlour is pretty good - but the staff seemed to have a very very verrrry casual attitude twds everything! The staff member who was to do my eyebrow was talking on her cell phone as she instrucuted me to lean back in the chair. She continued to talk for nearly 5 mintues into threading my left eyebrow. But I must say, that after inspecting them on completion, they looked pretty damn good -beautiful and slightly arched - just like 'em bollywood girls :)

Then came my hair-wash. The person attending me started getting into a tiff with her collegue half way through my hair getting shampooed. I was surprised that they would be yelling at each other in the presence of other customers - I'm just glad she didnt take her anger out on my hair! After towel drying my hair, she asked me what style I wanted to go for. It took about 30 - 40 mintues for my hair to be cut and another 20 - 25 mintues for styling. On the whole, the hair cut was good. Nothing jaw - dropping, just the regular run of the mill layered look. I paid 28 pounds for the cut + blowdrying / styling and 3 pounds for the threading.

On the whole, I think they do the job pretty well but lack in proffesionalism / polished behaviour. If you want your eyebrows threaded or hair trimmed or perhaps your nails painted, you can head here. But anything super fancy / funky, head elsewhere.
