Crown & Greyhound London Reviews

until we meet again - I used to work here so forgive me if this gets a little biased!
This place used to be the place to go in Dulwich, it's situated in the heart of leafy dulwich village, the pub came into being early in the 20th century when two pubs the crown and the greyhound got merged( I wasn't working there then, in case you were wondering!).
The long serving (4 years) manager left in may to join another company and the place went downhill very quickly. a succession of relief managers has ensured that whilst the doors open on time the service has not got any better, some of the staff don't seem to care about the place, even though they are part of something I would deem 'special'.
The new manager has a job on his hands, having run this pub I know it can be a handful and you need to be uber-organised to make the most of it's potential.
I have only been in once since he took over but already things are looking up.
I look forward to going in again soon to see if the trend for better service is still there.
I will review it again as soon as I have been but I have my own pub to run over xmas!
Give it a go, see what you think, it will always have a special place in my heart and because of that I hope you get the best out of it.
until next time...

Dulwich Landmark - Great lively pub just round the corner from Dulwich park. This place is best in the summer when you can stretch out at one of the outside tables in the front and people watch. Inside is a rather cavernous ye Olde English pub - dark wood furniture and lovely old fashioned double-vision inducing swirly carpet. As it's really the only pub in Dulwich village, most people flock here after a day in the park, so it can get very busy. Food is of the typical pub variety (burgers, fish and chips, pies) - nothing fancy, but certainly hits the spot on a sunny day. A good selection of beers, including yummy Belgian strawberry Fruili beer on tap rounds things up nicely.
