Buyer beware - My title sums it up. I am a novice and brought a pattern book with me when buying wool I had reserved to confirm it was correct. The woman who served me was most unhelpful and I was left feeling disappointed at the lack of helpfulness. The only pearl of wisdom she shared was that my purchase could not be returned. I thought no biggie since I showed her my book and she sent me on my way with what turned out to be the wrong wool!! Policy is policy but I was infuriated when I returned to the shop an hour later and very same woman said she wondered why I was buying 4 ply with a double Knit pattern. But she never thought to ask?! This may seem like basic information to an avid knitter but a beginner should beware in this shop. They did, however, refund my money. I will spend it in John Lewis where they are very helpful. 06-09-11
