Punctuality lets it down - I love this Salon. It's clean and tidy, smells nice, is fancy, and tranquil. The treatements are wonderful and the price is competative. The thing which really lets it down is the therapists punctuality. I recently went in for a 12.30 appointment. I was half heartedly acknowledged by Rose, my therapist, and salon owner. She then, at 12.30, went out to buy lunch for the girls, then got waylaid looking at a friend's baby. She eventually came back at 12.45 walking purposfully towards the rear the of the shop. It was only when I tapped my watch and said "what's going on?" that she stopped in her tracks and asked me to "come through". If it wasn't for being kept waiting EVERY TIME (not just me either), then this salon would definitely get MORE than five stars.

Exceptional all round! - Exceptional service with true professionals.
When i moved to south woodford i thought i would find it hard to replace my old beautician, then i found Rosie!
The whole experience at the Retreat is one of tranquillity and calmness and you are always greated with a smile.
I would highly reccommend this as either a treat or for regular visits.

excellent service - I had a appointment booked last week to have my nails done and can honestly say its one of the nicest salons I’ve visited for a long time. Not only did my nails look amazing but, the staff were so polite and attended to my every need.
I would recommend a visit to any women in need of a pampering- So thank you ;0)

Excellent Salon! - I live in the South Woodford area and have used many a salon throughout the years. I have hardly ever come across one that I am 100% satisfied with...until I came to The Reteat. The staff are amazingly friendly and my treatments were on par with some of the top beauty salons i've visited throughout the years. I left a very happy lady and have already booked my next appointment!
5*+ to The Retreat, excellent salon.

5* retreat!!! - I love this place, I had so much fun on my last visit. Not only do you get fab treatments but the girls are great too, really friendly and easy to talk to.

My treatments are always 5 star and nothing less.

I would recommend everyone to visit. For those of you who want an extra special pampering session this is the place to be!

Amazing Experience - I just had to come on here and write a review about the Retreat Beauty salon. My mum brought me some vouchers as i have been quiet ill of late. She wanted to cheer me up. On arriving at the salon i was met by the owner who introduced herself as Rosie, she asked me if i would like a tea or coffee. The atmosphere in the salon is peaceful and tranquil, exactly what i was in need of. I was able to book a facial, massage and body scrub within two weeks of my first call, i asked if there was anything sooner but unfortunately due to the popularity of the Retreat salon they were unable to offer me anything sooner, however they did contact me a week later as there had been a cancelation, i was so happy!. I came out of there feeling pampered and truly spoilt. Thank you to the retreat for making a sick girl feel very special for the day.

the retreat beauty, south woodford - My husband bought me vouchers for the retreat in south woodford for mybirthday in may as he usually does, the week commencing the 23rd of august I rang to make an appoiment for a facial and a manicure for that week, I rang and left a message and it took someone almost 3 hours to return my call, I explained what I wanted and that I could make any evening that week or the saturday, I was told I should have booked 4 weeks in advance and would I like to book for 4 weeks time, I was gobsmacked as I thought I was giving alot of notice, I refused and said I wanted my treatment when I wanted not when they were able to do it. I was speaking to the owner so asked for a refund on my vouchers to which her reply was I dont want a customer like you, someone obviously need to attend a customer care course. She was very rude, I work with the public and I would not speak to anyone in that manner. The owner should be careful how she treats customers, her business may not last too long, especially as there are several beauty places in the area and a lot better than the retreat.
