The Troubadour is an authentic 1950s coffee house, established in 1954. In the 1960s and 1970s it played host to musicians such as Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. It now combines a cafe with a live music venue, delicatessen and first floor gallery. The Troubadour Cafe serves a range of British and international cuisine, alongside coffee and snacks. There is a garden for al fresco dining.

Troubadour Cafe London Reviews

Tasty - Just to let you know I didn't have a full meal here - I was meant to be eating with some friends before seeing another friend play a gig downstairs but as I live and work east it took me about a couple of weeks to actually get to West Brompton via tube. By the time I arrived we had about 10 minutes until the gig but I had those wrong shakes when your blood sugar gets way low - I had to eat something. One of my friends told me that the food sucked as soon as I sat down and said that I hadn't missed anything, she hadn't even finished her food it was that disgusting she said - I was starving and she had a fish cake left on her plate slightly cold so I grabbed it and wolfed it down. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what was she talking about? It was delicious. I asked my other friends who both had the steak and one said it was alright and the other said it was delicious although at £17 a steak it would want to be delicious.

The decor was really nice, very French bistro like although some of the clientele seemed very self important but hey this is west london right?

Another odd thing was that you could only smoke in the back garden (which looks beautiful) if you ordered food, however friends of mine who had just spent over £150 on a meal inside ten minutes previous were told that they couldn't smoke out the back and would have to either smoke out the front or order some food - it seems like such a small thing but often its the details that matter the most.

Anyway I'll defo be going back to try the steak and smoke in the back garden.
