Agua At The Sanderson London Reviews

Sub zero experience - You enter and everything is white with long curtains as “walls”. A nice touch although maybe too stark for some people. I took a client and we were taken to a room for our pedicures and manicures and it was great we could do them together and talk shop or whatever. The pedicure chairs were uncomfortable (they were the same leather upright chairs that were in their waiting area) but not unbearable. I’ll go with it. The woman was a really nice South African who was gentle but too gentle; my foot massage felt like a foot pet and she barely exfoliated my feet with the salt scrub even though I paid for the deluxe spa pedicure. This spa doesn’t allow them to cut cuticles either which is fine but I do want the skin around my toenails cut and trimmed and she did a little bit but once home, realized there’s a lot more she could have done to tidy things up. The shape of the nails and the paint job were really good though.

The same goes for the deluxe manicure. Not very deluxe and my nail polish chipped 2 days later. Not what I’d expect for the prices I paid.

Next we were taken to the waiting area again to be picked up for a facial. The place is freezing. I think it was 2 degrees outside and it didn’t feel much warmer inside especially when you have dainty slippers on your feet and just a robe. I had the Eve Lom facial that the receptionist and nail girl said was amazing so I was really excited. As with all facials, I got undressed from the robe and lay down under the covers on the facial bed. My feet and hands were ice cubes at this point so I let the facialist (is that a word?) know and just said, “Yeah, it’s always cold in here. You need to feed that back when you leave.” Uh, I need to be warm NOW not when I leave and why can’t you do anything about it?! So I couldn’t enjoy my facial because I had goose bumps and was shivering the entire time and the girls hands were ice cold so hurt every time she touched my face. On top of that, she used the sheets to wipe my face. These weren’t 600 count threaded sheets either so were quite rough on sensitive, cold skin.

My client, however, enjoyed her facial and said the bed was heated so she was quite warm and fell asleep she was so relaxed.
