Italian with a flair - We chanced upon this very Italian restaurant in our search for a different one, but at the end of our meal, all of us were glad we had lost our way. It looks posh but is actually less expensive than I thought it would be. The decor and atmosphere are lovely, and the service super-quick and very attentive. My pasta had the most awesome creamy sauce I've tasted in a while. My only grouch (and there is but one) is that for a restaurant of their calibre, they charged close to £4 for a bowl of not a lot of bread which we had as an appetizer. I don't mind paying for good food, which the main course was, but I've been to much more relaxed, less expensive restaurants where you get an unlimited supply of bread free. I don't see how these people would have lost anything by doing that, and it was the only discordant note in an otherwise very pleasant lunch. I hope I'm not being too nitpicky!! 05-01-09
