Situated on the River Wandle, Merton Abbey Mills is housed in what was formally known as the Liberty silk-printing works. With over 20 shops, a riverside pub and a pizzeria, there is something for everyone from the car boot enthusiast right down to the toy collector's fair.

Worth a look in - This market is open Saturday and Sundays- I think the main day is Sunday. Loads of stalls, offering similar stuff to Camden market. Theres about 6 or 7 cafes there with Caribbean food, crepes, italian- havent tried them yet but looking forward to it. Theres a fantastic riverside walk the whole way up to Morden Hall which needs to be tried to be believed. What else now...fantastic flavoured coffee (hazelnut, irish cream etc).
