Nahm At The Halkin serve a variety of Thai dishes with intense flavours in a long, gilded room. They also sell a selection of cocktails. This is the first Thai restaurant to be awarded star status by Michelin.

Thai up your wallet.. - No doubt the food was very good. The flames of one of my spicy dishes could not be put out by the Aussie Riesling we were drinking. But this place reminds me why I don't particularly like some soul-less M-star restaurants. Can't fault the food or service but I like to have all that with some casual-ness instead of feeling like I am apart of the furniture needing to be up-kept. I shouldn't really complain judging the woeful service standards in London. If you can afford to eat Thai food at this level, bring you credit card or save it for that expense account dinner and let the boss pay... MC 10-07-09

Upmarket Thai - This is the place to go for Thai fine dining. Hidden away in the posh Halkin Hotel behind Hyde Park Corner, Nahm is a subdued and elegant affair - all muted colours and hushed tones. The food is amazing, and far away from the mass market Thai curries and Pad Thais we all know. This is pure "real" Thai. Although Australian, chef David Thompson has spent much time researching and resurrecting traditional Thai recipes, many lost over time. He has become such an expect, that even the Thai Government has asked to collaborate with him to help bring purity back to the cuisine.
The best way to appreciate Nahm is to go for the tasting menu - you may not recognize much of the food, but one bite and you'll be hooked. 10-09-07
