Gutters and Roofing - Last winter really battered my guttering. Parts were broken, pipes were leaking, it was horrible. Thankfully it is now sorted and will hopefully last for years to come. Thanks NSJ!

Excellent Job on the Windows - My new windows are better than expected! My heating is hardly on and my husband is constantly opening the bedroom window at night as he's too hot!

Patio Door - I recently moved into a new house and the patio door was beyond repair. NSJ came out the same day I called and I had a brand new door in under three weeks. I’m over the moon, especially as I can transfer my guarantee if I sell the house.

Porch - The new porch we had installed by these guys is lovely. Every time I drive into my front garden I smile. Couldn’t fault the survey or installation process.

double glazing/replacement windows - i had this company out for a qoute and found them the opposite of last review.the salesmen was very polite and knew his stuff very honest with me and gave us 1 price only,we accepted the qoute and from survey to fit every thing was so smooth and the job was excellent.as we always get calls from multi national companies when you sit down to dinner,they were on the ball.
i have since ordered new doors and recomended 3 friends from work as well,i think sometimes no matter what you do you cant please everybody and that is just life. i work for a large satalite company (MENTION NO NAMES)and they get over 500 complaints a day and every body still uses them.
keep up the good work northeren scotland joinery
and folks think for yourselves not someone elses opinion.

Not the way to get business. Avoid. - A chap measured up the windows and gave me a quote for almost £14K for a 2 bed terrace house. When I said no he offered me a discount if I'd have the work done quickly. It was still far too much, & he then offered to phone his 'dad' and ask for a further discount, but said I'd have to agree then and there. I said I wanted to discuss with my husband, and he argued that I'd said I didn't have to ask my husband, which was true, but I just wanted to discuss it with him. He then turned away, packed up his stuff in silence and walked out, after leaving me his huge quote 'for goodwill'.
A week later I got a phone call asking how I'd got on, and I said the quote was too much. The man then argued that as I'll be letting out the property I have to have grade C windows otherwise they'd be illegal. I simply said 'I don't think so...' and he said sarcastically, 'Oh well you're obviously an expert, you know far more than me, I've only been doing this job for 23 years'.
I'm so glad I didn't do business with this company. They say they are traditional, and they exhibit all the traditional traits of double-glazing salesmen. Nonsense about discounts, resisting my talking to my husband (who would probably have told me to go ahead, for a quiet life!)and being nasty when anyone dares to disagree with them.
One day they might realise that this is not the way to do business - I've told everyone I know about my amazing quote and how funny the 'salesman' was when he got in a strop and left - and of course they all ask the name to avoid, which I've been happy to give them.
