An Oasis of Film - Slap bang, right in the centre of the the urban mellee that is brixton central is the Ritzy Cinema. The staff are lovely, helpful and helpful types, many of the artists to be found exhibiting in other parts of the metropolis.
The upstairs cafe is awesome, especially in summer as it has a terrace and balcony from which you can cheer on the police or street urchins depending upon your allegances. Drinks and food are spon for the price.
My only beef is that like many a once alternative cinema the listings have become more mainstream but, hey, you gotta pay dem bills.
Overall a great meeting place, hangout and film venue, especially the amazing old school screening room 1, the best... 02-03-09
