I so wanted to like this place... - I've read some good reviews about this place and was really looking forward to eating there. Unfortunately I didn't find my meal matched up to my hopes. Its a Portuguese restaurant, charmingly hidden away behind a non-descript take-away. You get buzzed through to the hidden restaurant behind with its large painted wall-scenes of Portugal. As soon as we sat down we were brought a basket of bread and a bowl of olives. Nice, until you taste them and find the olives are cheapo, tasteless and watery and the bread tastes mass-produced. Next my starter arrives, seafood in breadcrumbs and I get four prawns and a pre-formed crab-stick that has come out of a freezer bag. My companion had a very good sausage to start, but his main course arrived with cheap and nasty freezer bag chips (we watched them carrying them in bags through to the takeaway) and my rice and fish dish was nice enough, but not nice enough for the 15.50 price tag. Sadly disappointing, they were using cheap ingredients, cutting corners and it showed. Won't be going back in a hurry.
