The power of salad creation - My London life is totally salad-oriented.I do like oriental food but I'm too poor to eat out every day and too lazy to cook something for myslef. I'm starting to observe a 'spinster syndrome' but maybe I simply don't like cooking...Mhm, probably, that's why I go for salads all the time.
In terms of vegetable mix you can be very creative- first of all, while playing with colors. A red tomato with green spinach and white feta cheese...and you have the flag of Italy; you add black olives and...you are in the United Arab Emirates ( a great lesson of geography at the same time! ) But let's be honest, most of the salads taste the same everywhere. The only thing distinguishable might be spices- but where's the pleasure of consumption?
Believe me or not, I've discovered something special. The unique place where tomato tastes like a real tomato and cucumber like a cucumber (not like a paper). What's that? It's 'Rafaello'- a tiny sandwich bar next to Ravenscourt Park station!
In 'Rafaello' you can be 100% sure that all vegetables are fresh. You can be the powerful creator of your own salad but you cant trust somebody from the staff (really nice and helpful people) at the same time. I bet you won't be dissapointed ! Oh, and everything is sooooo cheap!
