PizzaExpress has expanded enormously over the years and now has a staggering number of outlets. The simple menu and kitchen concept has retained its freshly made ideal and you can still watch your pizza being prepared for you.

Pizza Express- Fast Food? - I was really disappointed by the level of service at Pizza Express (especially because the day before I had exceptional service at Ping Pong) and the quality of food. I’ve been to Pizza Express several times in Leicester, Birmingham and even in London and most of the time the food and service has been great. However the Pizza express at the Haymarket was really busy and crowded. Even though I had booked a table for 8 of us a few days in advance (and I had rang the day before to confirm the booking) when we arrived to Pizza Express there was no booking and we had no table. We had to wait over 15 minutes for a table. What was even more frustrating was that the waitress was really rushing us. It felt as though we were in a fast food restaurant. We didn’t really have time to have drinks first and the main course arrived before we had even had our starters. Pizza express is usually really good, but maybe if there’s a group of you on Saturday then its not the best place to go...as you will be really rushed! 31-10-07
