A great Local - I think the bad review is written by someone who is no longer allowed to visit this pub! As anyone who visits this pub I have ever met has nothing bad to say. The food is great as are the staff and the locals. I think someone is bitter and taking there anger out in a un-realistic representation of this establishment in there review.
The bar is recently under new management (not that there was anything wrong with how it was previously run) who has big plans... The food is amazing with arguably one of the best roast dinners in Brighton. There is a constantly changing local menu with reasonably priced dishes from offal to good veggie options.
The staff are friendly and are all talented in different ways and incorporate these to benefit the pub. There are musicians, comedians who hold their own nights there is even an acrobat! The music is chilled and funky the staff try to accommodate every ones needs. Whether it be different sport on in different rooms.
There are lots of music nights there is the fortnightly quiz and there is a function room. This place is defiantly worth a visit I am bias as this is my local but I have never heard anyone complain. It’s worth checking out the Round Georges pub Facebook page for upcoming events for a real representation of the pubs personality.

Very refreshing - I think that the last review must have been written when the pub was under a different manager because it is definitely the best local I have ever had. The food is great, gastropub without being overpriced. All meat and veg are locally sourced and the weekly specials are fantastic but the roast dinners are my favourite. The staff are very friendly and the music is well chosen. They show sports but the first match on a Sunday only has volume on in the function room which I like as it means my family and I can have a nice sunday lunch together. I really rate this pub highly as I have lived in Brighton my whole life and very few places come close to being as good as this one!

Georges people - A great unfriendly local. Loads of uncomfortable seating inside. A bad selection of lager, beer and at least 4 ciders. Cocktails are weak and by the jug full and live music is pretty bad. There is no beer garden but there is plenty of outside seating on the pavement with hanging baskets and an interesting variety of people both drinking and passing by. Very unpleasant atmosphere and some bad home cooked traditional as well as Thai food. Well worth missing Round Georges.
