Set in a dramatic Victorian Industrial warehouse space with 50 foot ceilings, Tooting Tram and Social is an Über pub - no other phrase describes it - its completely on a different scale. The Space is incredible, with soaring vertical spaces and a massive mezzanine level. TTS, brings a new sophistication to Tooting - with food and drink and a wonderful Hetta design that is part Loungelover, part Woosley and all TTS.

Fun for singles - I think I am official old and boring. Went to Tooting Tram and Social for a friends bday. It was Saturday night and when we turned up around 10pm the place was rammed. Despite this service at the bar was pretty good, and when I was served a 'flat' glass of champagne I had no problem swapping for something more bubbly, I was even offered a choice for tasting (which might have annoyed everyone else in the queue!).
The decor is great - super high ceilings with beautiful long chandeliers. Interesting bric-n-brac hung on the walls. But the music was pumping which made conversations difficult, and there seemed to be a constant stream of men and women checking each other out. Since I've not been single for a long time this was more amusing to me than anything else. So great fun for singles but not really the place for someone like me who likes a quite cocktail and a bit of chit chat. 18-04-09

Butterflies on the ceiling - The Tooting Tram and Social is my favourite pub in London. Hmmmm... I'm nearly tempted to scratch that and say 'nearly my favourite' because they don't do food. But actually. If I want food I'll go to a restaurant, or a bistro, or a cafe, or my kitchen (cheaper than the others, and sometimes better food).

So, The Tooting Tram & Social is my favourite pub in London. AND its in Tooting. That says a lot. I've moved away from Tooting but the Tram pulls me back far more than is necessary.

It has fun things to look at on the walls that will keep you entertained if the conversation gets boring. My favourites are the Elvis above the entrance and the mattress with the antlers. Oh, yes, it's mattresses on the walls at the Tram. Indeedy. Kinda kinky.

I'm not a beer drinker, so can't comment on the hop situation, but the gin is divine and the bar staff are beautiful in an 'I wish I worked in Dalson' kind of way - but they're all so young and gorgeous you can't blame them for the aspiration. It almost makes them even more beautiful.

Fancy a trip to nearly the end of the Northern Line? Make sure you visit the Tram. 12-12-08
