Great Food - Perhaps calling this place a Pub is a bit unfair. The bar area is tiny. But it is a traditional village pub. If you are tall watch your head on the way to the toilets, which incidentally have Map wallpaper!
The nooks and crannies make this a great place for group dining. There were six in our party so we had an alcove all to ourselves. The staff we helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious.
On the night we went it felt like winter had come early, but this just enabled the atmosphere to be completed by an open fire.
It is a short drive from Ipswich, not too far away from the Orwell Bridge. In the summer there are a few tables out the front which will have a view down to the River Stour.
