The aim of lovebeer@borough is to offer people the chance to learn more about beer, whether they are novices or existing beer enthusiasts.

From a simple introduction to beer styles in general, to more esoteric packages like the Trappist Beers of Belgium or America’s Finest, the idea behind the venture is to see some of the UK's most respected beer writers & experts introduce people to the wonders of beer without complicated jargon.

Corporate tastings start from £35 a head and monthly meet the brewer sessions have just been introduced, allowing anyone to meet the people who make great beer and ask them all the questions they've ever wanted to.

Beer is Brilliant at Borough - Many of you already know the Rake, but you might not be as familiar with its sister company lovebeer@borough.

Based on the first floor it is the home to London's only dedicated beer tasting business and has begun to host a monthly meet the brewer session with some of the country's most exciting breweries.

Already the BrewDog event in December has proved a massive hit, and those of you who had one of their brews at the Tipped BBQ will understand why.

Now, in January, lovebeer@borough is hosting the award-winning Thornbridge brewery from Derbyshire (www.thornbridgebrewery.co.uk).

Available to a thirsty public will be the brewery’s renowned interpretation of a classic India Pale Ale (IPA) in the form of Jaipur, the South Pacific-inspired Kipling and the beautiful Bracia, made with Italian chestnut honey – which was recently chosen for, and proved to be the star of, the British Guild of Beer Writers annual awards dinner.

Also to feature is Seven Heron, a light golden ale brewed with four different hops, which was a collaborative effort between Thornbridge and renowned beer writer, and partner in lovebeer@borough, Melissa Cole.
