From 12 – 16 July 2011 , following its performances at Siobhan Davies Studios, South London Gallery and the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, Siobhan Davies Dance's choreographic work ROTOR will be showing at Edinburgh’s Dovecot Studios.
ROTOR is an inter-disciplinary ensemble of installations and live works by award-winning artists, based on ideas generated by dance and choreography. Originally showcased alongside responses by nine other artists, ROTOR has also triggered responses by the galleries it has been shown in. At Dovecot, senior weaver Naomi Robertson has responded to ROTOR with a 3D finely woven maquette, presented in the studio where visitors can also watch the weavers at work.
