When Bamboo’s first opened its doors to the public in 1967, it was the only Chinese takeaway in the whole Preston. From the success and recognition of today is purely down to Head Chef Johnny Wong and his wife Bobo.
The creative cuisine you enjoy is based on the family route from native home in Hong Kong when he spends time to help in the kitchen learned from his mother, cooking was fun and especially wood fire was the only fuel available to used; Food has to be cook fast and fresh because the flame from wood fire cannot be control, this creates “wok on fire “
