dreadful, expensive, and mean! - Was not impressed. Great location and nice enough venue, tables etc and excellent view. The prices however were astronomical and the portions were miniscule. My Italian teacher had warned me I would get tiny little bits of food on a plate and she was right.

Seriously do not bother with this place. I went with clients who were paying, but as an example my venison main course was £26 and I got 4 x 4cm pieces of venison on a small plate of vegetables. Kept having to eat bread to fill me up. Felt it was a complete con.

This is part of the people who own The Witchery and I know a local chef who has said that he has eaten at all of their restaurants and not been impressed.

No desire to try the Witchery and pay £25 for a main course that should be a starter at half the price, and no desire to run the very possible risk of being disappointed. 24-05-09
