French love costs - Have you noticed that whenever something is coming to an end, you are trying to make use of that as much as possible? Personally, I have that impression as probably London will need to say 'goodbye' to me pretty soon... but ok, ok- it's Friday night! Let's all enjoy! I'm still discovering the new places in the city and I'm here to share my point of view.
I've never liked Covent Garden very much. I like vintage shops but the area itself is simply too overcrowded to me. Whenever I wanted to eat something special, there was not enough spaces: / Anyway, I gave Covent Garden a chance today and I had a really nice lunch in Cafe des Amis. The restaurant is 1 minute walk from underground station and you can find a genuine French chef and staff there.
They don't have a very diversified menu but I recommend a Cornish crab and avocado salad with pink grapefruit dressing as a starter, that it's really great! I took charolais UK beef gratin dauphinois with red wine and smashed potato as a main course and it was marvellous! The prices are not extremely sophisticated so you can go and check it out:)
