If only i could rate this as minus! - This is the worst shop in the world for wedding dresses! The staff are completely incompetent and know NOTHING about wedding dresses or the materials! I was newly pregnant when i went to buy a dress, i had 3 weeks until my wedding day. The girl who served me must have been late teens early 20's, and stupidly i believed her advice and suggestions as i thought that as she worked in a wedding dress shop she must know what she was talking about in regards to styles, materials etc - I had never been wedding dress shopping before so of course i knew nothing. She sold me a dress specifically stating that the material would expand with my tummy, should i put any weight on there before the big day. She also said that with the style it would also expand. I believed her and bought the dress. 10 days later i tried the dress on - it wouldn't even do up at the back - i had maybe put on 2 inches MAX, as i had measured myself. I phoned to ask if i could get a refund of some kind - i was treated so badly and she was so rude to me - actually saying "Why did you listen to me as i don't know how much weight you will put on"!!! The shop manager/owner was even less helpful and totally stood by her employee. What happened to customer rights?? Another thing, which made the situation that much worse, was when i went to try the dress on at home, my friend who was doing me up noticed a small tear along the seam at the bottom of the zip. I mentioned that to the sales girl too - who said "Well, you should have inspected it while it was on the hanger". Maybe so, if she hadn't actually zipped me up herself and would have definitely been able to SEE the tear herself, and NOT mention it to me before buying it. Again, i told the manager this and said that she should have at least made me aware of the slight defect - even though it could be fixed at home, i still should have been told about it. The manager actually shouted at me and hung up the phone on me. Unfortunately i had to leave the country as we were emigrating 2 days after the wedding, if i had stayed on in Uk i would have taken the shop to a small claims court for selling me a dress (and wedding dresses are so expensive too) by incompetent staff who blatantly LIED to me and kept defects in the dress quiet.
