There's always a better option - We went there before watching ‘Blood Brother’ at the Phoenix Theatre as Melanie Italian Restaurant locates just across the road from the theatre. The food there isn’t amazing, but it’s not bad either. It seems like it’s a chain restaurant (cards with the address of the other branches can be found on the table), so it makes sense when I think the food there is mass produced and has no presentation at all.

As for the food, Risotto del Pescatore (£9.50) is really delicious, you can find clams, squid, prawns and mussels in the risotto and it tastes really fresh. Gnocchi al 4 formaggi (£6.90) is another favourite of mine, it’s a real cheesy dish and it certainly can fill you up even if the portion isn’t large. However, the pizza we ordered (pizza quattro stagioni)is a bit soggy.

The house wine is £3.50 per glass, or £7.50 per 1/2 bottle, or £12.50 per bottle, which sounds reasonable to me. There is a dessert menu as well, ranging from £3.50 to £5, the options include ice cream, cheese cake, and tiramisu.

Note: Their service varies every time we visit, sometimes the waiters can be very welcoming, but there were times that they are rude and impolite as well, so good luck with it!
