my favourite chinese in soho - I have been going to this place once a month since i was introduced to it 2 years ago, i have always had exceptional food.
The downsides 1st; opens at 5:30, so no lunch..., decor is a rather plain but has improved much since my debut, the last issue is the usual one with good soh chineses, why have a bigger menu 4 'locals'? I like trying new, unusual tasty things!
To try the new things we usually walk to our table slowly past the tables full of chinese, if we like the look of something we probe the waiter for the name and go for it. The best dish we have discovered is tofu, hoi tang tofu. It is amazing, baked tofu topped with copped seafood and mushrooms in a lovely thin sauce, mix it with the light fluffy egg fried rice, so good and healthy, i like to think. Other high lights include the soups, we have done experiements when here with friends all ordering differetly and all are distinctive and delicious.
The food is 5*, the staff are a cut above for china town but the decor though fresh is a little bit of a let down. All in all though this is the best everyday chinese i have been introduced to.
