decent/friendly for the money - i would say it is a no frills hotel that in all honesty could do with a total revamp, but the place is clean and fresh. there is no smell from any of the rooms i have ever stayed in and the bathrooms whether your on-suit or not are clean and tidy at all times. the house keeping will empty your bins every morning and if you paid for the on suit etc you get fresh towels also. the one thing i will say about this hotel is for the money, now a family of 4 we only were 150 odd quid for the fri-sun bed and breakfast the breakfast is top notch. you start with cereal and a glass of OJ then you have the option of a full english and tea and toast (as much toast as you can manage!) you can amend your order at the table in the morning for example one year i just had toast and scrambled egg and as long as they know they are happy to accommodate.
there isnt really any night time entertainment that i have ever seen although i do believe sometimes it is booked. but we go mainly to head to the piers and the pleasure beach etc and back home for 8/9 and kids to bed!
this hotel is just off the central pear down one of the streets and to be honest if you are unlucky and get the front rooms it can be noisy at closing time and then of course you have the seagulls with their 4am wake up call!
all in all this hotel is family friendly with lovely staff and good food. Ideal for just getting your head down at night and up in the morning good breakfast and out the door.
