Sartoria is part of the Conran Empire and the food is accordingly both of a high standard and a high price. The menu is extensive with most of the usual Italian dishes of antipasti, pasta, risotto, meat and seafood served in a smart and serious environment. They try to use organic produce where possible. They can cater for private parties of up to 32 people. They have a pre-theatre menu on Fridays and Saturdays between 5.30pm and 7pm.

A Romantic, Modern Restaurant - This dimly lit, open restaurant, is a great, comfortable place to have a nice dinner or a businessy lunch. With clean lines, plenty of low-slung couches for seats, and fresh exotic flowers on the tables and around the room, the place is cool, yet not stuffy.

There are also plenty of small, neat touches to notice at this Savile Row eatery, like the button designs on the plates and menus.

The lunch/pre-theatre set menu is a good deal, and even if you're ordering a la carte, the prices aren't very steep.

I had an artichoke tortellini in truffle sauce, which I enjoyed, and a woman came around bringing fresh bread to the table, which was also a nice touch. The people I was with also had a fish dish, which they weren't particularly impressed with, and lamb chops, which seemed to be a winner.

We also shared a dessert -- lemon mousse with some strawberry sorbet -- which everyone enjoyed.

The bar in the front half of the restaurant also looks like a place to check out, with lots of comfortable chairs and pillows. 03-03-08
