Casa Frattini London Reviews

Great food and service - Having read previous bad reviews about Casa Frattini and understand it has changed management a couple of times and more recently in February 2008 I wasn’t sure what to expect. It is certainly tiny and cosy and I wondered if this would be reflected in a limited menu. Quite the opposite – it is very creative and varied.

The manager is very knowledgeable and passionate about food and took the time to explain the menu. He also made suggestions for wine to compliment my choices. The food is delicious and well very prepared and although the location is a little out of my way, I will definitely be going back. If you are looking for a small and intimate dining experience, Casa Frattini would definitely be one of my recommendations.

Casa Frattini? Yes, thank you! - Hey, I went to Casa Frattini a few times now since it re-opened and I find it finally back to (high)standard.
The feeling, getting in, is clean and cosy, the Manager is always friendly and ready to tell you everything you need about what you are going to eat plus tips and suggestions!
Food is absolutely great, we shared a very nice platter with a selection of italian salame and prosciutto, and as a main course my girlfriend had an original recepy from the chef that left me bewildered, it was a rolled fish with pesto I had an amazingly deliacte tagliata (my mouth is watering again now...)
To finish we had pannacotta and fondente...
I'm going back almost every fortnight

Green curtains gone! New delicious - owner, menu and creatively designed dishes. I went there last night - what a treat? I think the chef's been to art school - each dish more beautiful than the last. I had the best squid ink risotto ever! To start, I had a raw tuna dish served on tiny lettuce leaves drizzled with a sweet orange dressing - yum! And for desert, a v light chocolate fondant pudding that just melted on my tongue. I am going back for lunch this weekend to try something else. The staff are lovely, and the guy who serves is also pretty delivious! Small, intimate and cosy! You can Casa Frattini me - anytime!

trying hard but just not right - We were looking for a new Italian restaurant somewhere close and found reviews for Casa Frattini. Older reviews were crticial but those in the past 12 months were positive. I even read a Guardian review from Alice Temperley (designer) about this place. So I was really looking forward to the quaint local atmosphere and on arrival we were not disappointed. Very friendly service and pretty decor (although graffiti on the walls is quite weird). However the place was empty until after 8:30pm (on a Saturday) and we soon found out these were new owners (since March). Anyway, they were very attentive and the pasta was good but the rest of the meal was dissapointing and worse yet, the husband and I got an upset stomach from what we believe was the rare tuna (obviously gone bad). So sadly this place dissapoints and we won't be back.
