Ruby & Sequoia Bar is a popular venue, with a restaurant upstairs and a bar downstairs. The bar gets very popular in the evenings whilst the restaurant serves a choice of dishes from all around the world, with European and Asian influences dominating the menu, as well as a few more traditional dishes.

Trendy, good cocktails - A few of my friends are big fans of Ruby & Sequoia, so I decided to join them and check it out. The cocktails were delicious and the DJ downstairs played some good dancing tunes but the bar somehow lacked atmosphere. The thing that usually makes a bar stand out is its one-of-a-kindness... and as far as I could see, Ruby & Sequoia looks like a few other places I've been to. The clientele were also mainly trendy types all dressed similarly and had the annoying habit of sitting by the bar making it very difficult to order drinks. However, there is also a restaurant, which may have fabulous food (we didn't eat) and maybe a second visit will change my opinion. But this time someone else needs to pay for my drinks - they were incredibly expensive. 20-08-07
