The Dana Centre is a stylish, purpose-built venue, complete with a cafebar, appealing to adults. It is a place for them to take part in exciting, informative and innovative debates about contemporary science, technology and culture. No two days will be the same at the Dana Centre. It's the place for experimental dialogue events, blending the best from science, art, performance and multimedia to provoke discussion and real engagement with the key issues of the day. In the Dana Centre you'll see science delivered in a very different way, everything from Edinburgh-Fringe-style stand-up comics debunking science myths to updates on radical research, handling sessions of rarely seen objects from the Science Museum's collection and challenging debates on modern science.

The Dana Centre London Reviews

Free and Edumacational - I don't quite know what the Dana Centre is. I think it's part of the Science Museum. They host talks and lectures here quite often and I've been to some really cool things here - the first one I went to was all about identity in virtual worlds - what made it so awesome was that as well as having a panel in the room they also had Second Life projected up on the screen with a bunch more panel members that were based in California that were talking to the panel members in our room but via Second Life - in fact it was one of the most interesting talks I've been to in a while.

Another talk I went to was all about the role of games in education - super informal evenings, super educational and they were all FREEEE

Free and fun - I love the Dana Centre. It's been a round for a few years now but it's more popular than ever - the last few events I've been to have been packed out.

It's a cheap but really fulfilling evening out if you can manage to get over to South Kensington. All the events are free, you just have to book in advance through the website or over the phone. There's a bar where you can get food and drink too. What I really like is that it's completely different to anything else in London. And you really don't have to be anything near a science geek to go - a lot of the stuff is arty or cultural - just make sure you pick an event from the programme that appeals to you.

I'm looking forward to comedian Helen Keen talking about rocket science on November 4...
