To Asia and beyond - So this is a regular hang-out for some friends of mine as they work near by, and I've taken to joining them now and then. Occo's has a very Asian/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern feel about it, from the decor to the music, which is decidedly Buddha Bar type lounge music. Drinks are decently priced and service is very good. I especially like the Malaysian bartender Rowan who makes sure we're amply stocked with alcohol all the time and hardly ever needs to be asked before refilling our glasses. Sadly, he said he's planning to return to Malaysia in June!

Occo's has nice snacks, of the hummus/pita bread variety. They cater to private parties as well - there is a nice enclosed area with gauze curtains in the mezzanine level. And I quite like the toilets, with their antique-look washbasins - I suppose that sounds silly but it adds to the charm of the place :) 30-01-09
