Bloww's flagship West End store launched in November 2005. The space is on two floors and incorporates the stunning and thoroughly individual design elements that typify the Bloww approach. From the moment you step inside, you can see the work of Paul Merritt and his design team, who have encompassed every part of the Bloww philosophy, from the black illustrated wallpaper and granite catwalk to the specially commissioned soundtrack and lobby area selling fresh light lunches, soft drinks and cocktails. A private VIP area and relaxing wash stations offer added luxury.

Look at the stairway wallpaper! - Unfortunately, the twin spa therapists are gone so you can't experience a massage done by two people in tandem anymore. However, they offer really fantastic treatments in an amazingly decorated spa. If you can, try the Rasul treatment. It's a steam whilst you're covered in a colour-by-numbers array of muds under a ceiling that looks like a starry sky. It's really nice.

The haircuts are good and the service whilst you wait is really lovely. The cappucinos are perfectly done and the magazine selection always good.

Plus, the turnover of staff seems to be low so that you can become a real regular here, instead of the nameless, faceless experience you can so often have at a central salon and spa. 04-11-07
