Fans of Bodean's, London's award-winning original BBQ Smokehouse, will be pleased to hear a third restaurant has opened in Fulham Broadway. Having conquered Soho and Clapham with its unique brand of American BBQ, Bodean's - twice nominated for the Tio Pepe ITV London Restaurant Awards - has turned its attention towards south west London.

Not bad BBQ - BBQ restaurants tend to get a hard time from American ex-pats. I don't know why. I don't hear the Uzbeks moaning about theirs... but perhaps that's due to the saturation of American culture in Britain. Americans can afford to criticize because most of us know how these things should be. Those poor Uzbeks mind you are delighted that you even know their country exists.

Bodean's however isn't bad, I've even heard an American say as much. The best I've had... no, but you'd have to go to Texas to find that. Bodean's delivers pretty well though, and it's pretty soft on the pocket too.

I normally go for the sandwiches like the Soho Special or Pulled Pork - soft shredded beef or pork in a soft roll and served with fine fries, sweet and creamy coleslaw and pickles. A selection of extra sauces are brought to the table.

Steaks aren't bad either, but go on a Tuesday for those when all steaks are 50% normal price.

Other good buys are the 'pay the hour' deals on weekdays where you pay depending on the time you order on a selected number of dishes. Order at 5.37 and you pay £5.37. The offer runs between 5.30 and 7pm.

Other treats include root beer which is pretty hard to find, and the Soho branch packs out with American and Canadian ex-pats on big game days if rubbing shoulders with whooping fans is your thing.
