Too pricey - It is not worth what you end up paying. They do a decent job, but there are so many other places in London where you can be more comfortable, pay less, and get a haircut of equal quality (if not better)! 30-09-07

I am metrosexual now... - OK I seem to be polarising my reviews...only one circle or five circle reviews so far...I think that's because I'm just reviewing things that stick the most out in my mind, which tend to be the extremes. Time will tell.

So before Taylor Taylor, I don't think I'd ever paid double figues for a haircut. As my hair was a wild mass, my flatmate Max suggested this would be an optimal time to let the 'experts' take over. I got booked in without hassle, and even got a text the day before to remind me. Lovely.

On arrival I admit to being intimidated by the place. But they put me at ease in admirable fashion; they gave me alcohol. As I'd already started the path to metrosexuality by agreeing to pay £38 for a haircut, I felt I might as well take this to the extreme. I order a strawberry vodka and lemonade.

I am lead down some stairs, into this golden room of splendor, complete with a staue of Buddha sat in the corner. Somewhat awed by the sheer glory of this room, I am then treated to a head massage/hair washing, which I can only describe as semi-erotic. I got a semi. Umm...hope they don't read this...I intend to go back there!

Then I am returned to the cutting area, and to my vodka. The hair dresser (or would it be a stylist here? I dunno) worked away with an air of ability. They clearly know their stuff here as I was genuinely impressed with the result. Often when I get a haircut, I'm not really too bothered about the outcome - anything that is shorter and isn't a mullet will do - but this was good work.

I walked into this place a man, and walked out...a metrosexual man. Now if you'll excuse me, I suddenly feel compelled to purchase 8 pairs of shoes and a sarong. 30-09-07
