Clicia London Reviews

Great meze plates to share - For being a Turkish place we seemed to be the only one's ordering the Turkish food. Most of the patrons were ordering their jacket potatoes or English breakfast or quesadilla with chips which was quite surprising given how good their Turkish menu is.

It's a cosy little joint in the heart of bustling Stoke Newington with small tables crammed together and the constant sound of espresso drinks being made (which looked really good).

My husband had the hot meze platter which was fried calamari with tzatiki sauce; grilled haloumi cheese; aubergine stuffed with onions, peppers, pine nuts, redcurrants; falafals with humous; and goats cheese filo pastries. Hearty and all were really good (I tried most). I had their lentil soup and grilled haloumi over spinach and tomatoes and broad bean salad with yogurt sauce. All was delicious and so filling. Total bill was £23 with service.

About the service: nothing special. They're quick to take your order but then slow to acknowledge you after that. We ordered a glass of wine which she never brought so we had to ask her to remove it from our bill. But it wasn't too horrible that I won't go back. I love Turkish cuisine.
