Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes London Reviews

A true disappointment! - The staff genuinely are rude - they do not care about customer service and even the manager treats people with absolute contempt. I have never been anywhere that had left me feeling quite so angry. Given the fact I was not a drunk, trouble-making punter, but a 5 foot 2 smiling girl simply asking a question (I won't bore you with details). Having been in the industry myself for many years, I feel it a great shame that a space where the art work challenges your perceptions, seems to forget that it is just one in a few dozen on that strip that can offer that. Once the novelty of that wares off, there is nothing there to keep you coming back. I will simply take my custom elsewhere. Bad attitude, bad management, bad drinks - A true disappointment!"

Shoreditch Institution - Dream Bags is one of the original Shoreditch good time bars and it's a testament to the owners that after all these years its still a great place for music and drinking and people watching.

One of the touches that makes this place so good is the fact that roughly every month they invite a different artist to exhibit their work however unlike other bars that show stuff here they encourage the artists to use the walls as their canvas which means you often get these awesome sprawling illustrated murals enveloping the whole bar.

The music is always good and generally stuff you haven't heard before, last time I went there were these 2 Japanese guys playing obscure country music.

There's a downstairs which often turns into more of a dancefloor / club thing later and I've been to some pretty good parties downstairs although its small so it can get pretty sweaty.

On a weekend it gets pretty packed with hot young things and since discovering that I'm really a 60 year old in a 29 year old's body I don't go so much as queing for drinks and being jostled by people (however hot they might be) makes me grumpy - but its much calmer on week nights and you can usually get a seat early on.

City Dags & East End Blues.... - I went to this place, briefly, last night with a group of friends and I have to say that it really wasn't anything special.
To me it seemed like any other ordinary "space" with a bar thrown in. There was also an assuming feel to the place and most of the patrons weren't your typical east end crowd e.g. funky, stylish, laid-back. I'm not from London and don't know anything else about this place but my guess is that it was a popular venue for locals 2-3 years ago. It's a shame because the staff were all very cool, including the Winehouse and Moss lookalikes.
Putting all of that aside, there were a significant number of hot women in attendance (including my g/f) so I would recommend it for anyone on the pull - but that's really about it!

Melange.
