Bit of a let down actually - We went to Banners on a Friday night for my 30th birthday, just a quiet meal with my husband. I'd heard great things about the place but was really disappointed with our experience.
The food was great but the service was awful. On arriving we were shown to our table and sat there for 10 minutes before we were able to get a menu and order a drink from the sullen waitress. Our drinks took a further 15 minutes to arrive after they made 3 journeys around the restaurant with us frantically waving to show they were ours. The food to be honest was good, not outstanding but tasty and came quickly.
Other examples of the unpleasantness of the experience are: the waitress complaining loudly about how many shifts she had worked over Christmas and New Year to a group sitting near to us, waiting 10 minutes after requesting a dessert menu, waiting a further 15 minutes for our dessert and coffee to arrive, asking 3 times for the bill at the end of the meal.................
We won't be visting again any time soon as there are so many other eateries to explore we'll be looking for somewhere with a nicer atmosphere to spend our leisure time!
