Chez Nous serve a variety of light dishes at their cafe. As well as having an everyday special, they also have a set menu. Catering for private parties is available upon request. If you want to enjoy that al fresco feeling, then you are welcome to take a seat on one of the tables on the pavement area.

Le Petit Déjeuner, Francais @ BSP - All Day Breakfast?
But not sure if the cafe will have something suitable on the menu?

Ici, it is no problem since in French, breakfast = 'little dinner'.

I heartily endorse the traditional breakfast, but it can get a little busy on a Saturday morning. So I would aim for early afternoon if I was you and it was the weekend and I was peckish and thinking about something classy but not overly pricey and I had just noticed that Belsize Park Tube was my next stop on the Northern line.

On my second visit, I had a terrific ahem headache* so I dropped in for my second visitation at 14:00 hours, obviously it be much quieter, apres midi, and I enjoyed the best fish and fries I have had in a long long time.

To summarise.
Certainly French. Certainly not fussy. And you are virtually opposite BSP Underground. You could break your journey to the heath at this spot, here. And everybody should wander over the Heath at some point in each quarter of the year.

*They are extra baad when you are foolish enough to mix grape and grain on a Friday night pressure-release-binge. This late afternoon meal cured my headache perfectly well I realised some time afterwards. 04-04-08
