H8 U - So look, my girlfriend lives pretty much nextdoor to this place so I have to come in here every now and again and it's a pretty standard Expres in that it's busy and under-stocked and under-staffed - nothing unusual there.

The other morning I came in looking for a hand whisk or hand held electric blender thing, I don't know what they're properly called, anyway I knew they used to sell them here because I was replacing my girlfriend's broken that she had bought from the same shop a while ago.

I asked one of the guys if they sold hand whisks and he looked bemused. I asked him a couple more times and made sure I pronounced the words clearly and I even did a little charade type mime but he just said 'I dunno?' and walked off. I couldn't work out whether he couldn't understand what I wanted to whether he didn't know whether they sold them.

I then went to find another dude and the response was pretty much the same - he looked at me quizically as if I was asking if they sold unicorn tears! 'I don't know' was the response and he left it at that not offering to go and have a look or anything.

I finally managed to find another dude and the response was the same, a little like Fawlty Towers 'que?'. Anyway I wandered around and couldn't find them anywhere, maybe they do sell them but they're in a secret place along with the unicorn tears and rainbow slices.

Anyway just another reason I hate Tescos. Surely the staff should either a) know what a hand whisk is or b) know whether or not they sell them here GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
