Awful attitude to customers - I visited this shop recently. There was a woman serving (the owner I think) probably early seventies in age, reasonably dressed.
Two customers came in who the woman serving obviously knew and the three started chatting, standing in the way so I could not move round the shop easily to look at the clothes. Everything the woman serving did was negative toward me. She was unfriendly, she looked at me and spoke to me in a snotty sort of way. I should say I'm a professional woman and have a good sized monthly clothes budget. I would not spend any money in this woman's shop. I do not like silly snobbery about clothes. To top it all off, the clothes in Applause are only mid range, not really designer - the woman serving in my view had a misplaced sense of self-importance. This completely put me off as a customer. I will never go in this shop again. 22-03-15
