Terrible pub - owned by a terrible company.

Owens is owned by Mitchells & Butlers and if you check https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Reviews/Mitchells-and-Butlers-Reviews-E16140.htm you'll see their own staff don't have anything good to say about them either.

Owens is a dump used by nobody but the unemployed from morning to night - you know the type. The customers are violent but the staff even more so. Not advisable to take a child in as they will be offered drugs in the time it takes you to get an coke.

It is situated in a lovely area amongst shops but locals would love to see the back of it because the crowd of abusive customers sit outside swearing and abusing passing public. Mitchells & Butlers could not care less and would rather have a violent member of staff than decent paying customers and seem to much prefer it that way.

The pub has brought the area down with cheap alcohol and lack of respect for staff, customers or local community. 23-07-16
