Kamini Beauty Salon specialises in hair removal and is well known for using silk thread to transform eyebrows into elegantly defined arches. Owner and hairdresser Vaghela is well-known for her deft fingers and painless hair removal techniques. With her equally competent daughter beside her, she swiftly transforms frumpy and dowdy locks into shining masses of silk. She also offers face treatments as well.

Its not threading! Amazing eyebrows - Its incredible how two people can have such a different experience in the one place! I have been in London now (originally from Australia) for a year and a half now, and I have visited at least 10 different salons (though admittedly not 'Green Street') and have not found one place that has managed to shape my eyebrows successfully, using waxing, threading and/or plucking. This method is NOT threading, it is much gentler (I always shed a tear or two, but I didn't even come close with this method) and the results last a LONG time. Yes, £45 is expensive, but what the above review failed to mention is that you only need to go every 3 months. Not every two weeks like the £3 place - though the cheapest I have found is £15 - do the maths, it works out cheaper. The best part about is is that you don't need to do anything between visits, and if you are concerned about re-growth, then a simple bleach will hide any small amount of re-growth. Just try it, its worth it. And if you are kept waiting an hour, go for a walk, there is lots to do around the area. They also have Sothy's products - best product ever.

Threading - There is no doubt about the fact that Kamini works wonders with eyebrows - I am proof of that! However, for £45 a pop - it can be argued (and I know women with wonderful brows who do), the same effect can be achieved for £3 in the brow centre of London - Green Street - providing you can be bothered travelling that far.

The service is personable...but frankly, inefficient. Customers have been know to be kept waiting easily for up to one hour, with no real attempt at apologising for the waste of their time.

Given that the salon aspires towards high end beauty, and customers are paying the price, such shoddiness is a no, no. Doesn't happen elsewher. Should't happen here!
