Little Gem - Tucked away down a quiet side street in the villagey part of Peckham Rye is the lovely Petitou. This place serves up simple organic vegetarian food (although they do have a couple of fish dishes). Huge buttery croissants, the best ever scrambled eggs, cheesy marmite crumpets, homemade quiches - this is comfort food at it's best. Add a choice of well made coffees and fresh juices, super friendly staff and comfortable surrounds and you have all the ingredients to while away a couple of hours with a book or a paper.
