olive tree the place for me! - Excellent food, first class quality for very reasonable prices, a little gem in the centre of Taunton. My wife and I always go there when we visit from Bristol and we are always impressed by the staff and service as well. 02-08-08

Good Taste, warm welcome! - Nestled within Taunton, the county town of Somerset is a treasure that is as underrated as it gets.

The Olive Tree is a delicatessen and coffee shop, with a wholesome and honest approach to food and providing real service.

A warm welcome is always bestowed upon me when I visit (frequently!). A good mix of relaxed and highly energetic staff give the place a real buzz without being frantic.

The shop sells fresh baguettes, made to order using a selection freshly-baked breads. Many of the ingredients are local, fresh and of undeniable quality. The delicatessen stocks rich selections of irresistible delights.

The coffee shop (upstairs) offers a wide variety of freshly made foods such as quiches, deli platters, and drinks such as organic fruit presses and aromatic ground coffees and a wide selection of teas!

The shop downstairs sells many foods and drinks for one to take home. (Many of which you can try in the coffee shop upstairs)

The whole experience is rounded off by the presence of knowledgeable and attentive staff. The type of people that are actually eager to help and advise, and to make your visit memorable.

I recommend the Olive Tree to all that visit Somerset. A treasure. 15-02-08
