Solid Local Restaurant. - Franklins is my local restaurant and absolutely rock solid in my book. My partner and I eat there often and have rarely had cause to grumble. The style is modern British and the menu changes frequently, very rarely churning out a less than exciting dish. The food is rustic, generous and there is an emphasis on meat. That said, their side dishes are excellent too - think slippery, buttery seasonal greens. The fresh baked bread and charming service are also a pleasure.

Fabulous friendly local - Fantastic local restaurant near the top of Lordship lane in East Dulwich. The menu is ever changing to include local, seasonal produce. Recent delights included a fabulous roast belly of pork with extra crispy crackling, juicy british steaks, and the discovery of the much underused samphire. Service is always knowledgeable and friendly, and the setting is cosy and warm.
